Indian power utility NTPC Limited is seeking bidders for a 15 MW floating solar power plant along with the supervision of operation and maintenance (O&M) for a 225 MW ground-mounted PV project in Chhattisgarh and Uttar Pradesh, respectively.
The 15 MW floating PV project is planned for the Maroda Reservoir-1 of the Bhilai Steel Plant of the NSPCL. The latter is a joint venture (JV) between NTPC and Steel Authority of India (SAIL) that provides captive power to the latter's steel plants in India.
Broad scope of work for the Bhilai, Chhattisgarh located floating PV project is its development, supply and installation, power evacuation and 3 years of O&M services. It needs to be completed within a duration of 12 months. The project will be financed via equity funds and loans arranged by the NSPCL.
NTPC issued the tender on January 5, 2024. Documents will be available for sale from January 10, 2024 and bids will be accepted till February 9, 2024. The details of this tender with NIT no. CS-0230-004-9 are available on NTPC's tender website.
NTPC's subsidiary NTPC Green Energy Limited (NGEL) is also looking for bidders to undertake supervision services for the O&M and civil works of the 225 MW Bilhaur Solar Power Project in Uttar Pradesh.
Brief scope of work spans forecasting & scheduling and SCADA, monitoring, plant PM and general O&M works and day-to-day site/project office works.
