NTPC REL has opened a call for 900 MW grid-connected solar PV capacity in Madhya Pradesh
This capacity will be developed in 3 blocks of 300 MW each at Mandsaur
The EPC scope includes design, supply of PV modules, installation, and tracker-based mounting structures for the solar plant
NTPC Renewable Energy Limited (NREL), a subsidiary of NTPC Green Energy Limited (NGEL), has launched a competitive solicitation round to award an EPC package for 900 MW grid-connected solar PV capacity, located in Mandsaur, Madhya Pradesh.
This capacity is divided into 3 blocks of 300 MW each, which NREL plans to finance through its own resources/borrowings.
All bids must be accompanied by a bid security amount of INR 20 crore for any 1 block (300 MW) or 2 blocks (300 MW + 300 MW) together. If the bid is for the entire 900 MW, the bid security amount increases to INR 50 crore.
Interested bidders could be developers or EPC companies that have designed, supplied, installed, and commissioned a cumulative capacity of 40 MW, of which at least 1 project should have been of 10 MW or higher capacity. It should have been operational for at least 6 months prior to the techno-commercial bid opening date.
The tender is also open to bidders who have executed an industrial project for power/steel/oil and gas/petrochemical/fertilizer/cement/coal mining in the last 10 years.
Winners will be required to design, install, and commission the project on-site. The supply of solar PV modules, as well as the design, construction, and erection of the tracker-based module mounting structure for solar panels, is also part of the work.
NTPC REL launched the call on April 7, 2026. It will accept bids till May 8, 2026.
