Serentica Renewables is seeking land for a 5 GW renewable energy development in Rajasthan
It has issued an EOI to acquire or lease around 20,000 acres with transmission access
This is in addition to the 4 GW it has under development in Rajasthan, Maharashtra and Karnataka
Global investment firm KKR-backed independent power producer (IPP) Serentica Renewables is scouting land parcels in Rajasthan to develop 5 GW of new renewable energy capacity.
It has issued an expression of interest (EOI) to invite eligible land procurement and aggregation partners to support the acquisition or lease of approximately 20,000 acres in the state, including grid-level infrastructure at both the central and state transmission networks.
This 5 GW capacity is over and above the 4 GW solar and wind power capacity that it is currently developing across Rajasthan, Maharashtra, and Karnataka.
It has already installed 1 GW of renewable energy capacity comprising solar, wind, energy storage, and advanced balancing solutions. Its clientele includes companies in energy-intensive industries.
Serentica said it targets to supply over 50 billion units of clean energy annually. KKR is supporting the company with a $650 million investment, having initially committed $400 million in the company (see KKR Invests In Serentica Renewables).
The last date to submit EOIs on Serentica’s website is July 18, 2025.
