The subsidiary of Indian hydropower utility SJVN Limited, SJVN Green Energy Limited (SGEL) has invited bids for the supply of 1,960 MW DC of solar modules for its projects to be installed in various states.
This 1.96 GW DC capacity will be distributed for 4 projects. It includes 2×700 MW DC projects for the Punjab State Power Corporation Limited (PSPCL). It will also deploy modules for another Punjab project with 280 MW DC capacity.
The remaining 280 MW DC project is planned for Assam Power Distribution Company Limited (APDCL). SGEL plans to develop 1 GW renewable energy projects in Assam under a joint venture with the APDCL (see India Solar PV News Snippets).
The maximum capacity to be allocated to a single bidder will not exceed 700 MW. Winners will be required to deliver solar modules for each project within 180 days from the date of issuance of the letter of award (LOA).
To be eligible, the bidder should have an annual average turnover of INR 30 lakh ($361,133)/MW for the total quoted capacity for the last 3 financial years.
