The South Eastern Coalfields Limited (SECL) in India is seeking EPC companies to set up 40 MW solar power capacity at its Bishrampur and Bhatgaon coalfields locations in Chhattisgarh's Surajpur district. It will be established as a ground mounted grid-connected solar PV project.
Launched on behalf of SECL, the tender was issued by Project Management Consultant Coal Lignite Urja Vikas Private Limited (CLUVPL) which is a joint venture between Coal India Limited (CIL) and National Lignite Corporation (NLC).
Broad scope of work involves setting up the facility on turnkey basis, ensuring grid connectivity from local authorities and providing 10-year operation and maintenance (O&M) services. Power generated will be utilized by SECL for captive use on open access basis.
Last date to submit bids for this tender is October 15, 2021, according to documents available on eprocure website of NLC India as tender no. CLUVPL/ PMC/ SECL/ 01.
The project is part of SECL's plans to install 142 MW solar power capacity over the next 3 years to be able to bring down its carbon emissions per annum (see India PV News Snippets: SECL, MNRE, Gensol, RUMSL).
