Estonia's state-owned utility Eesti Energia's renewable energy arm Enefit Green has launched an international tender to procure solar panels worth €100 million over a period of 36 months.

Through the tender, the company, along with Enefit Wind OÜ and Enefit Wind Purtse AS, will create a dynamic procurement system to purchase solar PV panels with a validity of 36 months, during which companies meeting qualification conditions may join on an ongoing basis.

Interested module suppliers can get details of the tender terms and conditions on Estonian Public Procurement website Riigihangete.riik that mentioned application deadline as December 30, 2021.

According to the Estonian Public Broadcasting, ERR Enefit Green's listing on Tallinn Stock Exchange in late November 2021 crashed the Nasdaq Baltic website as more than 4% of the country's total population participated in its initial public offering (IPO).

In October 2021, Enefit Green secured the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) as its 1.5% stakeholder (see Europe PV News Snippets).

The company currently operates 22 wind parks in Estonia and Lithuania along with 38 solar power parks in Estonia and Poland. It also operates biomass, mixed municipal waste and hydroelectric power plants.
