Togo’s AIGE Airport Gnassingbé Eyadema International Airport Seeking Bidders For 1.825 MW Solar Power Plant

  • AIGE in Togo has launched a tender seeking bids for a solar power plant installation
  • The 1.825 MW capacity solar power project will generate power for self-consumption at the airport

The Lome Tokoin Airport Company (SALT) has launched a solicitation round from interested bidders to set up a solar power plant for self-consumption at the Aeroport International Gnassingbé Eyadema (AIGE) in Togo with a total capacity of 1.825 MW DC.

Selected bidder will be expected to design, supply and install the facility at the airport. Last date to submit bids is October 8, 2021 and details about the tender are available on the AIGE website.

In September 2020, SALT had announced plans to have a solar power plant installed at the AIGE for the latter to meet its energy demand.

Togo is part of the World Bank's Scaling Solar initiative under which it aims to have 90 MW PV capacity installed through private sector participation (see Togo Joins World Bank's Scaling Solar Program).
