Tenders Launched For 390 MW Solar Capacity

  • Among the solicitations issued, it needs EPC service providers to establish this capacity across Poland and also supply panels for the same

Poland based solar energy company R.Power has launched several general contracting services tenders, including for EPC service companies to set up around 390 MW solar PV power plants which need to be located throughout the Polish landscape.

According to the company, it expects the solar PV projects under the tender to be commissioned latest by 2023. One of the tenders is also for the supply of PV panels with a combined capacity of 390 MW.

Out of total 6 tenders announced, one of them relates to the supply of fixed structures and trackers for the 390 MW capacity. Remaining 2 calls relate to the supply of LV/MV transformer stations for a combined 304 MW capacity solar PV farms, and MV/HV transformer stations for PV farms with a total capacity of 86 MW.

Announced on October 8, 2021, details about the tenders will be available on R.Power's website.

R.Power plans to conclude contracts worth PLN 900 million ($226 million) with winners of these tenders in Q4/2021 and Q1/2022. These tenders are open for both domestic and international bidders. According to the company, these tenders concern investments it secured during November 2020 and June 2021 auctions conducted by the country's Energy Regulatory Authority.

The company won 299 MW solar capacity in June 2021 auctions, taking its total independent power producer (IPP) solar portfolio to 471 MW (see Solar Dominates Polish Renewable Energy Auction).

In September 2021, R.Power said it was entering the Romanian solar market to co-develop up to 100 MW solar capacity with a local developer (see Poland's R.Power Enters Romanian Solar Market).
