DhaSh PV Technologies Limited, an Indian PV junction box (JB) and PV connector manufacturer, exhibited its latest and upcoming product offerings, including PV JB, connector, wire harness, and solar cable, at Renewable Energy India Expo 2024. The company's current annual production capacity is 32 GW, and is poised to expand to 50 GW by 2025.

During a one-on-one conversation with TaiyangNews, the company's GM of Business Development, Mr. Mohammad Asif Patel, highlighted DhaSh PV’s brand-new JB with high maximum DC voltage withstanding capacity and other commercially available products at the show.

The company’s upcoming split JB integrated with PV connector, marketed as DhaSh-TRIO PRO, features a rated current of 35 A and a maximum DC system voltage of 2,000 V. DhaSh PV asserts that its 35 A rated current, exceeding the industry norm of 30 A, along with a maximum system voltage of 2 kV – compared to the standard 1.5 kV and a first in India – makes it suitable for next-generation high-efficiency cell modules. The certification for this brand-new product is expected to be completed by November 2024 and commercially available by either the end of 2024 or January 2025.

The company also showcased its commercially available DhaSh-TRIO series split-type JB, featuring a 1.5 kV maximum system voltage and a rated current of up to 35 A, at the show. This junction box, featuring 3 TRIO series units connected in series, is paired with DS01 series 4 mm² male and female PV connectors, rated for 1.5 kV and 35 A. The company states that each TRIO series JB unit is fitted with a diode offering improved temperature tolerance and enhanced switching performance compared to standard diodes. This IP68-rated JB, potted with 2 component potting chemicals for a weatherproof structure, is bonded with the module’s rear side by silicon glue or sealant. Each TRIO JB’s housing material, having a relative thermal index (RTI) of up to 125°C, can efficiently dissipate heat and mitigate the risk of module hotspots by maintaining lower cell temperature, added DhaSh PV. This product is certified according to applicable IEC standards.

In addition to PV junction boxes, the company promoted its commercially available heavy-duty DS01 series IP68-rated PV connectors. The PV connector, suitable for connecting both 4 mm² and 6 mm² cross-sectional area solar cable, features a 1.5 kV rated system voltage and 35 A rated DC current. DhaSh PV also displayed its 1.5 kV rated voltage wire harness with integrated in-line fuse connectors. These inline fuse connectors protect components within a PV string from overcurrent, stated the company.
