- Atlas Renewable Energy has shuffled its senior leadership team in Brazil
- Luis Pita has been promoted to the position of global chief commercial officer
- Fabio Bortoluzo will take over Pita’s previous position as Brazil’s country manager
Latin America-focused renewable energy group Atlas Renewable Energy has promoted the Country Manager for Brazil, Luis Pita, to global chief commercial officer (CCO) position. Fabio Bortoluzo replaces him.
The move is part of the company’s efforts to maintain its international and local growth rate.
A veteran in the Brazilian solar energy market, Pita previously worked with SunEdison as its general manager for the country operations. A Board Member at Atlas, Pita is also one of the founders of the Brazil’s Solar Energy Association.
Atlas management credits Pita with having secured strategic agreements with big private players as Dow, Anglo American, Albras and Unipar in Brazil. Under his leadership, the company’s operational capacity in Brazil grew to over 1.2 GW and 1.3 GW in construction to date.
As the new Country Manager for the Brazilian market, Bortoluzo was till now the director of Structured Finance at Atlas.
Bortoluzo said, “We are committed to ensuring a promising future, with a growing business model in Brazil that is a role model for our company, expanding our operations and driving major agreements with our clients.”
According to the management, these changes are aligned with the group’s efforts to position itself in Brazil and become a key renewable energy partner for corporate clients by developing efficient and customized solutions.
