  • Bluebird Solar exhibited its M10-cell based modules at the recently held Intersolar India 2024
  • Its M10 half-cut cell-based solar module series offers a power range of 400 W to 550 W
  • The company offers bifacial modules in both glass-glass and glass-backsheet variants
  • Bluebird is planning to expand its 1.2 GW annual module production capacity by another 800 MW, to reach 2 GW by next FY

Bluebird Solar, an Indian module manufacturer with 1.2 GW annual production capacity, exhibited its latest monofacial and bifacial half-cut solar PV modules based on M10 cells at the recently concluded Intersolar India 2024 exhibition. The exhibition was held in Gandhigram of Gujarat state between February 21 and 23, 2024.

According to the company, its PV modules based on M10 cell sizes, with a wide range of cell configurations including 108 cells, 120 cells, 132 Cells, and 144 cells, offer a power range of 400 W to 550 W. It offers bifacial modules in both glass-glass and glass-backsheet configurations. The manufacturer uses a 10BB metallization pattern.

Bluebird Solar's 1.2 GW high-tech module fabrication unit is equipped with artificial intelligence (AI) based machines. To ensure micro-crack-free quality control, it claims that 100% of modules go through a 2 stage EL inspection process – one in the pre-lamination stage, and another in the post-lamination stage. The fabrication process can also be further upgraded to 20BB module production from its existing 10BB version.

Bluebird CEO Rohit Tikku said that the company intends to expand its annual manufacturing capacity to 2 GW by the next financial year.
