Germany based solar tracking system manufacturer Ideematec Inc., has bagged a 100 MW order to supply customized solar tracking systems for an agrivoltaic project. The facility in France is being developed by Spanish project developer Amda Energia.
Ideematec said to customize the order, it modified and optimized the Horizon L:TEC tracker model by adjusting the axis heights and maximizing the rotation angle for the module to +/-degrees. It explains that this allows this adjustment allows the trackers to operate synergistically with agricultural equipment.
For the 100 MW facility that will comprise several 5 MW projects, Ideematec has also supplied what it calls an agri-PV-specific control and agronomic-oriented monitoring system to improve crop production, land quality while addressing specific needs of each site.
"Our two-in-portrait (2P) module wings, equipped with bifacial modules, allow us to space module rows to support efficient agricultural operations, such as moving large vehicles between module rows, or monitoring sites for agricultural variables to increase generation efficiency," said Co-Founder and CEO of Ideematec, Mario Eckl. "These innovations allow our trackers to provide reliable clean energy to projects at scale, without disturbing the local environment or quality of land."
TaiyangNews is organizing a 1-day virtual conference on Solar Trackers on April 13, 2021 to discuss technology improvements in the field, intending it as a launch event for our 1st Market Survey on Solar Trackers. Registrations to the event are free here.
