  • Nextracker has entered a solar tracker supply deal with Arevon Energy in the US
  • Nextracker will supply Arevon Energy with NX Horizon smart solar trackers for over 1.5 GW capacity
  • The 7 projects that make up this capacity will be installed in Indiana and Nevada states

US based global solar tracker supplier Nextracker has landed itself a plum order for its smart solar trackers to be supplied for over 1.5 GW portfolio of Arevon Energy in the US. Arevon Energy is the renewable energy platform created by private asset manager Capital Dynamics by spinning off the members of its US Clean Energy Infrastructure (CEI) Team, to support 4.5 GW solar and battery storage capacity (see Capital Dynamics Launches Renewables Company).

Nextracker will supply the NX Horizon smart solar trackers with TrueCapture and NX Navigator software and control systems for advanced monitoring, control and asset management for the 7 projects that make up the 1.5 GW capacity. Of the total, 5 projects will be located in Indiana in the form of 200 MW Elliott, 280 MW Gibson, 150 MW each for Ratts 1 and Ratts 2, and 300 MW Posey. The 250 MW Citadel project will be located outside of Reno in Nevada and the 7th site 232 MW Townsite plant is coming up in Nevada’s Boulder city.

Set to come online by the end of 2023, Nextracker said these 7 projects will be ‘key’ to the states of Indiana and Nevada meeting their renewable energy goals as the 2 states are expected to install close to 5 GW and more than 4 GW, respectively, over the next 5 years.

“Our partnership with Arevon highlights how the future of solar development will leverage system standardization to improve project value in an increasingly competitive sector,” said Nextracker’s Vice President of Utility Scales, Ryan Booth.
