Bridge & Roof Company, a Government of India enterprise under the Ministry of Heavy Industries, has been awarded an EPC contract by SJVN Green Energy to establish a 100 MW solar power project in the Didwana-Kuchaman district of Rajasthan. The project is valued at about INR 3.5 billion (~$40.44 million). The tender was launched in April 2024 (see SJVN Seeking Bidders For 100 MW AC Solar Power Plant).

The scope of work includes land development, design and engineering, equipment procurement, testing, installation, commissioning, and performance demonstration, all executed on a turnkey basis. The project mandates the use of domestically manufactured modules listed on the Approved List of Models and Manufacturers (ALMM) issued by the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE).

SJVN has entered into a power purchase agreement with Rajasthan Urja Vikas Nigam for the electricity generated from this project. This contract award to Bridge & Roof is a strategic move on the part of SJVN to strengthen Rajasthan’s solar infrastructure.
