Crédit Agricole & Tenergie Launch Solar PV Joint Ventures

• Tenergie has launched solar energy JVs with Crédit Agricole in France 
• CAAPTEN will cater to solar projects for farmers, industrial players and corporate consumers of Crédit Agricole 
• Its focus regions will be Bouches du Rhône, Vaucluse, Hautes-Alpes, and Loire and Haute-Loire 
• The other JV LOIRE HAUTE- LOIRE ÉNERGIE will focus on rooftop solar for agricultural sector 

French solar PV projects developer Tenergie has joined hands with consumer banking group Crédit Agricole to launch 2 joint ventures (JV) to produce solar energy in the territories of Bouches du Rhône, Vaucluse, Hautes-Alpes, and Loire and Haute-Loire. 

CAAPTEN, one of the new ventures, will develop, construct, produce, maintain and own solar power plants for industrial players, farmers and corporate customers of Crédit Agricole. 

Projects will be developed on land owned by the clients, for which the latter will get rent, or financing to carry out renovation/construction on site for instance asbestos removal, or construction of a hangar, etc. 

Through CAAPTEN, the 2 partners aim to develop solar power plants to produce the equivalent of the green electricity consumption of a city the size of Aix-en-Provence by 2030. 

On its LinkedIn account, Crédit Agricole announced the launch of LOIRE HAUTE-LOIRE ÉNERGIE with Tenergie, EUREA and SICAREV to develop, construct and operate solar power plants in the Loire and Haute-Loire regions of France. It will be focused on the rooftop solar projects in the agricultural sector to make solar energy accessible for farmers. 

While the new entity expands Tenergie's business in French territories, Crédit Agricole sees the deal increasing its knowledge of farmers, business leaders and industrialists in the regions covered.
