RE+ 2023 tradeshow entered day 2 with another round of new launches and industry discussions over the bright future of the solar industry and their prospects in it.

SEIA's letter for Congress: With the launch of the tradeshow, SEIA urged the US solar industry to sign a letter to the Congress to preserve policies in the Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) that it says has sparked $100 billion of new solar and storage investments in the country. These policies will drive $565 billion into the economy by 2033. The industry calls upon the administration to oppose efforts to revoke or weaken IRA clean energy policies.

High power module from REC Group: REC Group officially unveiled its high efficiency and the company's highest power residential panel to date at the tradeshow (see REC Unveils 470 W New HJT Solar Panel). The REC Alpha Pure-RX offers up to 470 W power rating with heterojunction (HJT) cell technology. The company plans to start its production at its Industry 4.0 fab in Singapore from January 2024. REC said the new module has an increased power density of 226 W/m² or 21 W/ft2. It uses advanced module interconnection with solder-free foil and wire combination to achieve the switch to G12 large wafers and cells on HJT.

SolarEdge's 'most powerful' inverter: SolarEdge Technologies chose the tradeshow to announce the US launch of its new high-power 3-phase SolarEdge 330 kW inverter. It can work for both distributed and centralized location topology, according to the company. The company is now taking orders for this inverter from its US customers for projects scheduled for 2024 and beyond. The company also introduced H1300 Power Optimizer for community solar, agri-PV and small-to-medium scale ground mounted utility projects.

Anker's products for solar: Anker Innovations unveiled its SOLIX Solutions for the 1st time in the US at RE+. These include Anker SOLIX X1 Home Energy Solution offering backup for homes and Anker SOLIX F3800 Portable Power Station to support home solar power cycling. During blackouts, the X1 will continue to work with the owner's PV panels to power their home, seamlessly switching to off-grid mode in less than 15 milliseconds, as per the features detailed. The company claims that the F3800 offers 6000W AC power output and 120V/240V dual voltage output, enabling it to simultaneously power high-energy devices. Anker launched its Anker SOLIX brand in June 2023 to expand its presence in the home energy solutions market.

Anker is exhibiting at Booth No. 16096 and 21106.

SEPA podcast on the go: The Smart Electric Power Alliance (SEPA) is hosting PowerUp Live podcast at the tradeshow on September 13, 2023. The live podcasts will bring together subject matter experts who will discuss various facets of energy transition in the context of elevating the voices of Gen Z, tribals, and accelerating carbon reduction through policy. The subject matter experts invited are Founder and CEO of Amaterra Tech Pranav Myana, and President and CEO of Alliance for Tribal Energy Cheri Smith.

SEPA is available for in-person meetings at Booth No. 2, level 2.
