HIUV entered into an exclusive agreement to distribute Shenghong Petrochemical’s EVA and POE materials in India
The agreement aims to improve the availability of raw materials for PV encapsulant film production in the country
As part of another agreement, HIUV and GWELL will offer equipment and implementation support for PV film manufacturing projects in India
PV encapsulation material manufacturer HIUV announced 2 strategic agreements at SNEC 2026 covering EVA and POE distribution and PV encapsulant film production projects in India.
HIUV signed an exclusive distribution agreement with Chinese petrochemical company and EVA manufacturer Shenghong Petrochemical for the Indian market. Under the agreement, HIUV will distribute Shenghong’s EVA and POE materials, which serve as raw materials for the production of PV encapsulant films. According to HIUV, the partnership will give Shenghong access to the Indian market through HIUV’s local distribution network while supporting the availability of these materials in the country.
HIUV also entered into a partnership with PV film production equipment supplier GWELL to jointly develop the encapsulant film market in India. The two companies plan to provide turnkey solutions covering equipment supply, project implementation, and commissioning. GWELL will contribute its expertise in extrusion equipment, while HIUV will provide material technology and film-production experience.
The agreements combine the distribution of EVA and POE materials with equipment and technical support for PV encapsulant film production projects. HIUV is also developing encapsulant film production facilities with partners in the US and Türkiye.
In addition to signing these partnerships, HIUV showcased films for emerging PV applications at SNEC 2026, including products for space PV, flame-retardant modules, light conversion, zero-busbar (0BB) interconnection, and colored BIPV applications (see HIUV Presents PV Films For Emerging Applications).
