North America and Latin America are the target markets for Hoymiles with the Mexican fab
China-headquartered global module-level inverters and storage systems supplier Hoymiles Power Electronic has expanded its geographic footprint with its maiden overseas manufacturing facility in Monterrey, Mexico. It has an annual production capacity of 500,000 units.
The fab is located in the Vynmsa Industrial Park, near the airport, with 170 employees. The 6,700 sq. m. facility will produce microinverters for both residential and commercial solar applications, including the HMS-2000-4T and HMS-2000DW-4T series.
The Chinese company said that it aims to double the annual production capacity of the Mexican fab with additional production lines to better address the growing renewable energy needs in the region.
It targets both North as well as Latin America regions for the Mexican fab.
Hoymiles CEO Dr.Yang Bo said, “The Monterrey facility is a significant milestone and demonstrates our commitment to supporting renewable energy transitions in North and Latin America. This factory will be crucial in meeting the region's growing needs for solar and energy storage solutions.”
