Indian renewable energy independent power producer (IPP) Juniper Green Energy Limited plans to go public via an initial public offering (IPO), aiming to raise INR 18,000 million.
In its Red Herring Prospectus (RHP), Juniper says it will issue equity shares with a face value of INR 10 per share, aggregating up to INR 18,000 million. Local media reports, citing a company announcement, say the price band is INR 214-225 per share.
Invested in solar, wind, storage, and hybrid projects, the company said it plans to utilize the net proceeds from the IPO primarily to reduce debt and strengthen its subsidiaries' balance sheets. The funds will be used for the repayment or prepayment, in full or in part, of certain borrowings of Juniper Green Energy, which is part of the AT Capital Group of Singapore.
In addition, the company will invest in its material subsidiary, Juniper Green Gamma One Private Limited, as well as subsidiaries Juniper Green Kite Private Limited and Juniper Green Power Five Private Limited, to enable them to repay or prepay a portion of their outstanding borrowings. The remaining proceeds will be used for general corporate purposes.
As of June 30, 2026, Juniper says 94.92% of its total capacity in terms of MW, comprising operational, under-construction, contracted and awarded projects, was backed by several central or state government entities. Its total portfolio stood at over 10.2 GW DC/7.9 GW AC across 50 projects. Its operational BESS capacity totaled 503.20 MWh. It says the company is in the process of installing 3,010.68 MWh BESS as under-construction contracted and 1,050 MWh as under-construction awarded projects.
In April 2026, Juniper started commissioning what it termed as India’s first firm and dispatchable renewable energy (FDRE) project (see India Solar PV News Snippets).
The company claims it has an existing land bank of over 12,000 acres for the installation of solar projects and more than wind turbine generator locations in states with high renewable energy resource potential.
For the financial year ended March 31, 2026, its revenue from operations was INR 7,189.34 million, up from INR 5,086.78 million in the previous year.
Juniper Green Energy’s IPO opens on July 30, 2026, and will close on August 3, 2026. Anchor investor bidding will open on July 29, 2026.
