Invenergy and HASI have partnered for a 2.7 GW portfolio of 10 renewable energy and storage projects in the US
It comprises more than 850 MW of operational capacity, with remaining due to come online by early 2027
HASI will provide funding for the projects, while Invenergy will retain majority ownership and continue managing them
US-based Invenergy and HA Sustainable Infrastructure Capital (HASI) have expanded their partnership to support a 2.7 GW portfolio of solar, solar-plus-storage, and wind projects across the US.
The companies said the strategic equity partnership covers 10 projects across seven states and six major power markets. Projects are spread across Arizona, New Mexico, Texas, Arkansas, Indiana, Ohio, and New York.
More than 850 MW of the portfolio is already operational, while the remaining projects are expected to enter service by Q1 2027.
HASI said it will fund each project as it reaches commercial operation. All the projects in this portfolio are backed by long-term agreements with investment-grade offtakers, including corporate, utility, and public-sector entities, claims the duo.
Invenergy will retain control and majority ownership of the projects and continue to manage their day-to-day operations. The company said the transaction will allow it to recycle capital and support its longer-term growth.
“The transaction with HASI underscores Invenergy’s industry-leading execution abilities and allows us to recycle capital and support the company’s long-term growth,” said Meghan Schultz, Invenergy’s Executive Vice President and CFO.
HASI Chief Client Officer Susan Nickey said the expanded partnership builds on the companies’ existing relationship as demand grows for large-scale, contracted clean energy and storage assets.
Earlier this year, HASI entered into a partnership with Sunrun to finance 300 MW of US distributed energy assets (see Sunrun, HASI Partner To Finance 300 MW US Distributed Energy Assets).
In June 2026, HASI priced a $1 billion green bond offering from which it plans to allocate funds to acquire, invest in, or refinance eligible green energy projects (see North America Solar PV News Snippets).
