SKYWORTH Solar’s Solavita brand includes the SolaHome suite, targeting residential connected energy ecosystems
SolaBiz targets commercial PV + storage and intelligent energy dispatching
The portfolio also includes SolaMatrix for containerized utility applications and the SolaGo plug-and-play balcony storage system
SKYWORTH Solar, the PV arm of Chinese home appliance company SKYWORTH Group, has repositioned its Solavita brand as ‘A Smart Microgrid Expert for Diverse Energy Scenarios’. Earlier, the brand was positioned as SKYWORTH Solar’s clean energy arm.
Fan Ruiwu, Chairman of SKYWORTH Solar, says renewable energy is becoming more distributed, while grid volatility and rising operational costs are prevailing. He emphasized that “… the long-term performance of the whole system becomes increasingly important.”
The company says this new strategic decision will consolidate Solavita's distributed generation (DG) portfolio and service capabilities under a unified global identity. In terms of applications, it targets residential, business, off-grid, and plug-and-play installations. Meanwhile, the SKYWORTH brand will continue to target commercial & industrial (C&I) and energy park projects.
Solavita offers the SolaHome suite – a residential connected energy ecosystem that includes rooftop PV, hybrid inverter, storage, and domestic appliance loads like heat pumps and EV chargers. This suite uses a Home Energy Management System (HEMS) to connect these assets, monitor operating conditions, and manage real-time energy flows to match household demand. It also automatically schedules energy dispatch for battery charging/discharging or household loads according to dynamic electricity tariff rates, depending on regional availability, as in Germany. During a grid failure, the system switches to off-grid mode and uses its built-in grid-forming technology to create local voltage and frequency, thereby forming a microgrid.
The portfolio also includes SolaBiz, with higher integrated PV capacity and commercial storage, designed to help factories and commercial establishments shave peak demands to avoid costly electricity purchases. It also features the same functionalities as SolaHome to address grid disruptions.
The brand also offers SolaMatrix, with containerized storage and a microgrid management system for large-scale utility and off-grid applications. The company says it focuses on stabilizing renewable energy integration in weak grid environments.
The last suite, SolaGo, includes a portable power system and plug-and-play balcony solar, providing energy access for outdoor activities and critical emergencies.
These new solutions are complemented by SKYWORTH Solar’s global engineering foundation, including the Smart Microgrid Technology Centre for research & development in collaboration with Tianjin University and Hainan University. The company added that the center will add a Haikou test facility by the end of 2026 to validate grid-connected, grid-forming, and islanded systems.
