Jolywood 2021 reports Q3 revenues up, profit down: Releasing its third quarter report for 2021, backsheet supplier and bifacial solar cell and module manufacturer Jolywood said that the company has achieved:

• revenue of RMB 4.1 billion ($0.64 billion) in the first three quarters, up 14.13% year-on-year, and
• net profit attributable to shareholders at RMB 0.74 billion ($0.12 billion), down 72.04% year-on-year

The company said that the decline in net profit could be due to the significant increase in prices and the shipping costs.

JinkoSolar carbon footprint verified by TÜV Rheinland: Module supplier JinkoSolar Holding announced that its Tiger (163"cell based) and Tiger Pro (182" cell based) module series have met the carbon footprint verification standards of TÜV Rheinland Group, which provides global services in the testing of PV modules and components. The assessment was conducted by evaluating the overall environmental impact of these two series of modules throughout the "cradle to grave" life cycles.

Supply chain prices stabilize: PV InfoLink said that as polysilicon prices approach their peak, the supply chain prices have begun to stabilize. Here is a brief:

Polysilicon: New orders were signed successively, with mainstream trading prices continuing to inch, averaging virtually at RMB 270/kg ($42.19/kg).

Wafer: Mono-Si wafer prices have stabilized, while the cell sector, having been pressurized by low utilization rates and profitability, remain in a wait-and-watch mode.

Cell: Cell prices sustained at RMB 1.11-1.16/W ($0.17 – $0.18/W) as of last week, and the prices for 166mm cells was at RMB 1.11-1.14/W ($0.17 – $0.18/W), with low-price range rolling back marginally by RMB 0.01/W ($0.0016/W).

Module: Tier-1 module makers sealed orders at RMB 2.05-2.13/W ($0.32 – $0.33/W) for 182mm glass-backsheet modules this week, while Tier-2 makers saw a price difference of RMB 0.02-0.05/W ($0.0031 – $0.0078/W), according to PV InfoLink.

JYT Corporation announces 2021 third quarter report: Solar wafer and equipment maker JYT Corporation has announced its third quarter earnings. As per the report, the company has achieved an operating revenue of about RMB 1.4 billion ($0.22 billion), an increase of 11.91% year-on-year, and net profit attributable to shareholders of the listed company of about RMB 252 million ($39.38 million), an increase of 34.55% year-on-year. Few months back, releasing its semi-annual report, the Chinese company had said that the cumulative installed capacity of the company's grid-connected photovoltaic power stations (including ground-based and distributed power stations) stood at 1,248.09 MW (see China PV News Snippets: JYT, Jolywood, CGN)
