JinkoSolar launches Tiger Neo series modules and energy storage system at All Energy Expo 2022; Tongwei to invest RMB 4.5 billion in green substrate project; LONGi to issue GDR to be listed on Swiss Stock Exchange; Huasun begins HJT facility.

JinkoSolar launches new modules at All Energy Expo: Chinese vertically integrated module supplier JinkoSolar said that it has launched its Tiger Neo series modules and the SUNTANK energy storage system at the All Energy Expo 2022 in Australia. The new 440 W Tiger Neo residential panels that was launched will be coming in by 2023. Meanwhile, JinkoSolar Suntank (JKS 10.24K-5HLVS), the company said, is a single-phase low voltage energy storage system involving a hybrid inverter and a stackable low-voltage battery system. This makes it multifunctional and able to be connected with the PV system and electric grid, or to serve completely off-grid as a backup power source. Tongwei to build ‘green’ silicon substrate project: Integrated solar PV manufacturer from China, Tongwei Group, announced that it will be investing in the Yunnan Tongwei high-purity crystalline silicon integrated green substrate project, and will be signing an agreement soon. With an investment of RMB 4.5 billion ($0.62 billion), the green silicon substrates and ancillary facilities will be constructed in the Longling County Industrial Park and will have an annual output of 300,000 tons. Meanwhile Q3 has been good for Tongwei and the company reported a revenue of RMB 102 billion (see China PV News Snippets)

LONGi to issue GDR for Swiss Stock Exchange: Chinese vertically integrated solar PV company LONGi said that it plans to issue Global Depository Receipts (GDR), and will also be applying for listing on the SIX Swiss Exchange. For the underlying securities, GDR will use the newly issued RMB ordinary shares (A shares) of the company. This move is being initiated by the company to develop and strengthen its corporate governance and core competencies.

Huasun begins HJT facility: Chinese solar panel manufacturer Huasun Energy announced the groundbreaking ceremony of the Wuxi Huasheng Heterojunction manufacturing facility. A 2.5 GW monocrystalline ultra-thin wafer factory for heterojunction cells and a 5 GW bifacial microcrystalline heterojunction cell and module factory are being planned to be constructed. Earlier this month, Huasun had introduced its new solar module under Himalaya series with HJT cell technology (see New 400W HJT Solar Module For Residential Segment)
