LONGi invests in 8 GW monocrystalline module facility: Chinese vertically integrated solar PV company LONGi Solar has signed for a 8 GW monocrystalline module facility. With an investment of about RMB 2 billion ($0.28 billion), the facility is expected to achieve an annual sales income of RMB 11 billion ($1.55 billion). S.C New Energy PEpoly line equipment helps n-type cells reduce costs: The 5 GW TOPCon PEpoly high-efficiency photovoltaic cell line equipment customized by PV production equipment manufacturer S.C New Energy Technology Corporation for Lingda Group has entered the production stage, according to local media reports. This would make S.C New Energy as one of the foremost companies to implement TOPCon line equipment in China. JA Solar to invest RMB 10.3 billion: Solar PV manufacturer JA Solar announced that it has partnered with the Shijiazhuang Municipal People’s Government and the Shijiazhuang High-tech Industrial Development Zone Management Committee. The plan is to build a photovoltaic wafer, cell, and module integrated smart factory and a R&D center. These would be built in phases and the total investment is expected to be about RMB 10.2 billion ($1.43 billion).
