Risen HJT cell mass production efficiency at 24.6%: Chinese solar panel maker Risen Energy said that the average efficiency of its heterojunction cells in mass production is 24.6%, and the highest efficiency is 24.9%. The company's high-efficiency heterojunction product SIEGER has a double-sided rate of over 85%, which can steadily increase the additional power generation income by about 30%. According to its calculations, compared with a PERC bifacial module, the yield per watt of Risen Energy HJT bifacial module has a 7.5% increase in yield per watt. Risen will be speaking at the upcoming Taiyang News Virtual Conference on Solar Module Innovations, where it will touch upon Development Trend of Size and Advancement in System Compatibility of 210 mm Modules. 278 GW of total PV power generation installed in China: The National Energy Administration (NEA) released the status of the energy situation, renewable energy and grid operation for first three quarters of 2021. The report says that China's installed renewable energy power generation had reached 994 GW by the end of September 2021. This includes 384 GW of hydropower (including pumped storage 32,490 MW), 297 GW of wind power, 278 GW of photovoltaic power generation, and 35,361 MW of biomass power generation. Last month NEA had predicted that the country's cumulative installed solar PV capacity at the end of September 2021 to exceed 277.82 GW (see China Installed 25.5 GW New Solar In 9M/2021)

TBEA & Inner Mongolia partner for silicon & new energy projects: Power transmission and transformation equipment manufacturer TBEA announced that it has signed an agreement with People's Government of Damao Banner to invest in Baotou City. As per the agreement, TBEA, which is  a silicon producer through its subsidiary Xinte, will invest in the construction of 400,000 tons per year of high-purity industrial silicon and 5 GW new energy projects. The high-purity industrial silicon project will be built in two phases with an estimated investment of RMB 6 billion ($0.94 billion). In February, TBEA's Xinte had revealed plans to build a 200,000 tons silicon factory in Baotou City (see Xinte Energy To Build 200,000 Tons Polysilicon Fab).

Chint & OSW Australia join hands for PV projects: Chint Solar, the specialized PV subsidiary of the CHINT group engaged in PV power station development and PV module production, and Australian distributed system integrator One Stop Warehouse (OSW) recently signed a cooperation agreement. With this, both parties will strengthen their cooperation in the field of distributed PV in Australia and jointly promote the development of the local PV market. At the upcoming Taiyang News Virtual Conference on Solar Module Innovations to be held on 15/16 November 2021, Chint Solar's Michael Zhang will talk on Advancements in Solar Modules Design for Rooftop Systems.
