Sungrow & Super Energy partner for BESS project: Inverter solution supplier Sungrow announced a partnership with South East Asian renewable energy provider Super Energy to build, what it calls, the largest battery energy storage system (BESS) project in Southeast Asia. Sungrow will supply its PV plus BESS solution, comprising of 49.01 MW PV inverter solutions and 45 MW/136.24 MWh battery energy storage system. Planned to begin in April 2022, the project will go commercial by December and provide clean electricity for Thai people.

Shuangliang Eco-Energy & Longheng seal 950 mn wafers deal: China headquartered solar PV production equipment maker Shuangliang Eco-Energy announced that its wholly-owned subsidiary Shuangliang Silicon Materials (Baotou) Co., Ltd. will be supplying 950 million monocrystalline silicon wafers to Jiangsu Longheng from Jan. 1, 2022 to Dec. 31, 2024. Going by PVInfoLink's average price of M10 monocrystalline silicon wafers (182 mm/175μm), the transaction is estimated to be about RMB 6.5 billion ($1.02 billion) (tax included). JinkoSolar supplies 135 MW bifacial modules to Guangdong project: Module supplier JinkoSolar  has supplied 135 MW of its Tiger Pro bifacial modules for a solar-agriculture project built by China Resources Power Corp., in Guangdong. Henan Hengxing to invest RMB 676 mn in diamond wire fab: Diamond wire producer Stellar Technology announced that it plans to build a new ultra-fine diamond wire factory with an annual output of 30 million KM for an investment of RMB 676 million ($105.81 million). Once the project is completed, which will be in 12 months, the company will have a cumulative annual production capacity of 46 million KM diamond wire.
