C&D Clean Energy & SEG Solar sign 600 MW module agreement: Nanjing C&D Clean Energy Co Ltd., a wholly owned subsidiary of supply chain operator C&D Inc., and solar module producer Seraphim Energy Group (SEG) Solar have signed a 600 MW strategic cooperation framework agreement for the US market. In October, SEG had scaled up its Cambodia based production capacity to 500 MW annually with an intent to cater to the growing market demand of North America (see Solar Panel Production In Cambodia)

Inner Mongolia Thermal Power to build 470 MW PV project: Inner Mongolia Mengdian Huaneng Thermal Power Co., announced that the company's holding subsidiary, Inner Mongolia Helin Power Generation Co., Ltd., will build a 470 MW photovoltaic power generation project, and along with it 2 booster stations and supporting facilities. The total investment is RMB 1.9 billion ($0.30 billion), out of which self-owned funds were RMB 393.7 million ($61.74 million), and bank loans applied stood at RMB 1.5 million ($0.24 million).

LONGi lowers monocrystalline silicon wafers prices yet again: Chinese vertically integrated solar PV company LONGi released the latest quotations for its monocrystalline silicon wafers, which means another drop from what it announced less than a month ago (see China PV News Snippets):

  • The price of M10 size 165μm thick P-type monocrystalline silicon wafers is at RMB 5.85/piece ($0.92/piece), from its previous RMB 6.20/piece ($0.97/piece)
  • The price of M6 size product is at RMB 5.03/piece ($0.79/piece), reduced from its previous RMB 5.32/piece ($0.83/piece)
  • The price of G1 size is at RMB 4.83/piece ($0.76/piece), reduced from its previous RMB 5.12/piece ($0.80/piece)

China Shuifa partners with China Power: New energy investor China Shuifa Singyes Energy Holding Limited and China Power, the subsidiary of the integrated energy group SPIC, have signed a strategic cooperation agreement in Zhuhai. Both parties will cooperate in various fields such as photovoltaics, wind power, integrated smart energy and energy-saving low-carbon buildings in the future, and strive to achieve a planned installed capacity of 5 GW.
