Akcome reaffirms its carbon peak & neutrality commitment: At its Zhejiang Changxing Base, solar cell and module producer Akcome Technology hosted a Forum focused on striving to reach carbon emissions peak by 2030 and carbon neutrality by 2060. The theme was Akcome Technology Heterojunction Helps High-Quality Development of the Photovoltaic Industry Forum and the First Carbon Peak, Carbon Neutral and Changxing Declaration, according to Chinese media reports. The Chinese company also held its first export high-efficiency heterojunction modules delivery ceremony. It also released a dual-carbon target roadmap, sharing its plans and path to achieve carbon neutrality. Few days back, Akcome hired Japanese heterojunction solar cell technology expert Dr. Seiichi Kiyama as its Chief Technical Consultant (see Akcome Hires Japanese Heterojunction Specialist)

Jilin Electric Power to raise RMB 2.24 bn for PV & wind projects: In an announcement, State Grid Jilin Province Electric Power released plans to raise RMB 2.24 billion ($0.34 billion), which after deducting issuance expenses (excluding value-added tax), will be around RMB 2.197 billion ($0.34 billion). This net proceeds will be used towards photovoltaic projects in Guangxi Chongzuoxiang Flat-price Photovoltaic Project (150 MW), Shandong Shouguang Hengyuan Parity Photovoltaic Project (200 MW), and also towards wind projects in Anhui Susong Jiucheng Wind Power Project (100 MW), Yan'an Baota Panlong Wind Power Project (100 MW), and the like.

JYT installed capacity of PV & wind power at 1.4 GW: Chinese solar wafer and equipment maker JYT Corporation announced that as of March 31, 2021, its new energy power generation division's PV and wind power generation cumulative installed capacity reached 1,399.93 MW. The solar projects are distributed across Ningxia, Zhejiang, Shandong, Anhui, Hubei, Jiangxi, Hebei, Guizhou, Henan and other places. The total scale is 1,251 MW, and the cumulative power generation is 303,612895.38 kWh, of which on-grid power is 295,575,262.33 kWh. Earlier this year, JYT had secured 2 big contracts for monocrystalline silicon wafer supply worth RMB 8.95 billion (see JYT Secures Contracts For 1.9 Billion Silicon Wafers)

High Innovation Energy signs agreement with Three Gorges: High Innovation Energy signed a strategic cooperation framework agreement with the new energy investment and merger special working group of China Three Gorges Group. The two parties will jointly develop and construct new energy and integrated energy projects such as photovoltaics, wind power, energy storage. A week ago, Xian GCL and Suzhou GCL announced their intent to sell Three Gorges 5 operational solar power plants in the PRC with an aggregate grid connected capacity of approximately 469 MW (see China PV News Snippets: GCL, Daheng, Tianjin, Jinko)
