Beijing Enterprises and Shanxi Government sign 100 MW PV project agreement: Beijing Enterprises Clean Energy Group Limited and the People’s Government of Lan County, Luliang City, Shanxi Province have formally signed a framework agreement for the development of photovoltaic power generation projects with a project capacity of 100 MW, the company said in an announcement.

With this development, Beijing Enterprises and Lanxian People’s Government hope to give full play to the advantages of enterprise technology and government resources, and jointly promote and deepen the cooperation and achieve complementary advantages. Both the parties will now advance with the preliminary work of the project. The Lan County People’s Government will actively create a high-quality business environment for the development of enterprises, and assist them in further planning and in-depth development of local new energy industries and resources.  Meanwhile, Beijing Enterprises will focus on clean energy business, and use practical actions to work towards carbon neutral goals.

Trina Solar provides green energy to school in rural Laos: Chinese solar module manufacturer Trina Solar has successfully completed its second project of an off-grid PV power generation project to energize a newly built vocational training school in Pak Ngum, Laos. The school has an are of 1,000 square meters and can accommodate about 160 students. The power infrastructure in the region where the school is situated is underdeveloped and blackouts are a regular feature. With this project, the school’s power shortage problem will be addressed.

The project is part of the Green Benefits – Mekong-Lancang Cooperation (MLC) photovoltaic off-grid power generation project, which is sponsored by Overseas Chinese Charity Foundation Of China (OCCFC). Trina Solar provides a total solution covering engineering, procurement and construction management, as well as partial financial support to contribute to the countries’ power development in the Mekong-Lancang region. Meanwhile, this month Trina Solar also launched its newest version of its ultra-high power Vertex solar module series, with a power output of 670W (see Trina Solar Launches 670W Vertex Solar Module Series).
