Kibing to invest in 1,200 t/d PV glass production line: Solar glass manufacturer Kibing Group announced that it plans to invest in a new 1,200 t/d PV glass production line in Dongshan County, Zhangzhou City in Fujian Province. The total planned investment of the project will be RMB 1.3 billion ($0.20 billion) and the construction period is expected to be 1.2 years. This move is meant to meet the market demand for solar glass. Recently, Kibing Group had singed a contract with the local authorities to set up a solar glass production in Binhai Economic Development Zone in the south of Ningbo (see China PV News Snippets: Huitian, China Datang, Kibing)
Zhonghuan Semiconductor to invest in 50 GW (G12) mono c-Si ingot facility: Chinese solar wafer manufacturer Tianjin Zhonghuan Semiconductor (TZS) in an announcement expressed its intention to raise RMB 9 billion to invest in the construction of a 50 GW (G12) solar-grade monocrystalline silicon material smart factory in Ningxia, Zhonghuan. The construction period of the project would take about 15 months. Recently, the company had released its 2020 annual report and had achieved an operating income of RMB 19.05 billion (RMB 2.93 billion), a year-on-year increase of 12.85% (see China PV News Snippets: Zhonghuan, Sineng, JYT)
JinkoPower to sell 120 MW of PV power plants to Shandong Shuifa for RMB 280 mn: Solar developer JinkoPower announced that it will be selling 100% equity of Poyang County Jinko Power Co., Ltd. to Shandong Shuifa Clean Energy Technology Co., Ltd for RMB 280 million ($43.25 million). Poyang Jinko is the operating platform for the 120 MW complementary photovoltaic power station in Raofeng Town, Poyang County. Once the transaction is through, the company and its holding subsidiary will sell assets for 12 consecutive months.
