Shuangliang, CITIC & Akcome lay out PV industry chain: Shuangliang Eco-Energy announced that it has joined hands with Xinli Energy, a subsidiary of CITIC, and Akcome Technology to develop PV projects along value chain. The three companies will give full play to their respective technological advantages and develop solar power generation projects in Inner Mongolia and promote industrial value chain projects such as advanced photovoltaic cells and modules to be installed in Baotou. They will also develop large-scale distributed rooftop photovoltaic projects for Shuangliang Silicon Materials (Baotou) Co., Ltd. Recently Shaungliang had produced its first silicon rods for large-size wafers (see China PV News Snippets: J.S. Machine, Shuangliang, JA Solar).

SPIC Dongfang’s new energy installed capacity reaches 5.08 GW: As per a Photvoltaic News report, the installed capacity of SPIC Dongfang New Energy has reached 5.08 GW, and new energy installed capacity accounted for more than 86%, which rose from 354 MW in 2010 to 5 GW.

Maxwell net profit to increase by 22% to 43%: Production equipment producer for the solar cell industry Maxwell Technologies has released a forecast of its 2021 semi-annual financial results. The Chinese company said that during the reporting period, it has made a profit of RMB 230 to 270 million ($35.44-$41.60 million), an increase of 21.52% to 42.65% compared with last year. In February, Maxwell had announced that it will be leveraging the strength and resources of professional institutions in order to enhance its comprehensive competitiveness (see China PV News Snippets: Maxwell, EnergyChina, TZS)

Almaden & Huaihai Fund sign cooperation agreement: Issuing an announcement, solar glass and module manufacturer Changzhou Almaden said it has signed a strategic cooperation with Huaihai Economic Zone Investment Fund. In February, a Huaihai Fund of RMB 2 billion ($0.31 billion) was established. As per the agreement, both parties will jointly participate in the development of China’s PV building integration field. Recently, Almaden had raised RMB 1 billion ($0.15 billion) to invest in large size, high power ultra-thin photovoltaic glass and BIPV anti-glare processing projects (see China PV News Snippets: Jiayu, Almaden, King Stone, Jinchen)

Jinjing subsidiary puts 500t/d glass factory in Malaysia into operation: Chinese glass producer Jinjing Group announced that its wholly-owned and Malaysia based subsidiary  Jinjing Technology (Malaysia) Co., Ltd.’s 500t/d thin solar glass production line has been officially put into production.  In February 2021, Jinjing Technology had expressed its intention to raise RMB 1.4 billion for PV glass production projects in Ningxia & Malaysia (see China PV News Snippets: Jinjing, Arctech, Sungrow)
