High snow load no problem for Trina’s Vertex 670 W module: Chinese solar module manufacturer Trina Solar’s new generation Vertex 670 W module recently completed a test for uneven snow load at the East China PV Testing Center of the China General Certification Center. The test revealed that the critical snow load of Trina Solar’s five modules was above 6600 Pa, with the highest reaching 7000 Pa. This is equivalent to the pressure generated by 2.8 meters of snow, much higher than the conventional uneven snow load requirement, thus showing that Trina Solar’s Vertex 670 W modules have excellent snow load resistance, the company reported. In March, Trina launched its Vertex 670 W module series (see Trina Solar Launches 670W Vertex Solar Module Series)

1st phase of Grace Solar’s 70 MW PV Indonesia project completed: PV Solar product manufacturer Grace Solar has successfully shipped product for 200 PV roofs in Indonesia, and they have now entered the installation phase, the company reported on its website. The total number of PV roof projects in Indonesia has touched 70 MW for 600 roofs. The second phase of the shipment will be arranged in August, and the installation is expected to be completed within 2 years. Earlier this year, Grace Solar had won a bid for a 100 MW power station project in France (see China PV News Snippets: Zhonghuan, Risen, Zhongli, LONGi)

Sungrow Power establishes hydrogen energy technology company: As per a Photovoltaic Network News report, Sungrow Power has established Hefei Sungrow Hydrogen Energy Technology Co., Ltd. It has 100% ownership in the company. With a registered capital of RMB 100 million ($15.43 million), the new company’s business scope includes R&D for online energy monitoring and measurement technology, emerging energy technology R&D, intelligent control system integration, big data services, and the like.

Suzhou Good-Ark Electronics to increase capital: Suzhou Good-Ark Electronics, in an announcement, said it intends to increase the capital of its subsidiary Suzhou Silver Materials by RMB 212 million ($32.71 million). The funds will be used to implement the Suzhou Isilver Phase I project, which has an annual output of 500 tons of metallization paste for solar cells.

JYT ‘s 1st phase with 12 GW of Leshan crystallization project put into operation: Chinese solar crystallization equipment maker JYT Corporation announced that its 12 GW monocrystalline silicon ingot production project in Leshan, Sichuan Province has been officially put into operation. The total investment of the project, the company said, is RMB 7 billion ($1.08 billion), and it will be implemented in two phases – with a total annual CZ mono crystallization capacity of 24 GW to be built.
