S.C New Energy’s single-glass HJT module hits 745.33 W power: S.C New Energy has announced that its HJT single-glass module achieved an output power of 745.33 W in January 2024. However, the article does not provide any 3rd party certification details for this claim. The company says that this was achieved through continuous optimization, breaking its previous peak power of 738.98 W achieved in December 2023. The double-glass single-junction module achieved 741.66 W, and the highest power of the pure double-glass mass-produced module reached 735.79 W, the company said.

Jinchen Corp raises RMB 1 billion for solar cell fab: Solar production equipment supplier Jinchen Corp. has announced that it has raised RMB 1 billion ($139 million) through the issuance of A shares in 2023. The company says that the net proceeds of RMB 980 million ($136.18 million) will be used for the construction of its East China manufacturing base and supplementary working capital, among other things.
Aiko Solar signs ABC module deal with Tianjin Energy Group: Solar cell manufacturer Aiko Solar has signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Tianjin Energy Group for 2.5 GW of ABC modules. According to the agreement, both parties will engage in deep cooperation in areas such as project development, product supply, and integrated solutions.

RouShuo Solar completes angel round financing: RouShuo Solar has announced that it has completed a joint angel financing round from Shenzhen Mingguan and GYC Holdings Limited for tens of millions of RMB. The company plans to use the funds raised primarily for the construction of a 10 MW perovskite module pilot production line. As part of the 1st phase, the company plans to construct the 10 MW pilot line along with a 100 MW flexible perovskite PV production line. With the design for the pilot line ready, the company says it is set to start construction. Additionally, another financing round is expected to be initiated in mid-2024 for the construction of a 100MW perovskite production line.
Xilingol League plans 25 RE projects in 2024: According to a release from the Administrative Office of Xilingol League, it plans to implement 25 renewable energy projects in 2024. This comes on the back of grid-connecting 17 such projects at the league level in 2023. The 25 projects are part of the 64 key projects planned for the year for a total of RMB 29.15 billion ($4.05 billion). Specific to the renewable energy projects, the league plans to invest RMB 14.25 billion ($1.98 billion), and 6 energy storage projects for an investment of RMB 1.8 billion ($250.2 million).
