1st Phase of Uzbekistan power plants with Trina's Vanguard 1P trackers grid-connected: TrinaTracker, the solar tracker making arm of Trina Solar, has announced that the initial units of 2 solar power plants in Uzbekistan were recently connected to the grid. Located in Samarkand and Jizzakh, the 2 plants have a combined installed capacity of 511 MW. Having signed the contract in April 2023, TrinaTracker has exclusively supplied 11,248 sets of Vanguard 1P trackers to these plants, along with the Trina Smart Cloud digital SCADA platform at tracker level. Once fully operational, the project will generate 1.12 billion kWh a year, enough to power 240,000 homes and reduce 1 million tons of CO2 emissions annually.
Last month, TrinaTracker signed a supply agreement with China Energy Construction Group to supply 200 MW of Vanguard 2P trackers and supporting software (see China Solar PV News Snippets).
