JinkoSolar signs multiple deals: JinkoSolar has announced that it has signed a deal with Gulf Energy to deliver 3.5 GW of its Tiger Neo n-type modules to the latter. The companies said that the partnership capitalizes on JinkoSolar’s cutting-edge technology and Gulf’s industry expertise. The Tiger Neo n-type module boasts record-high efficiency. Backed by 14 production facilities globally and a track record of 210 GW leading global sales volume, JinkoSolar remains at the forefront of solar innovation.

Separately, JinkoSolar announced the signing of an agreement with China Energy Construction (Shanghai) System Engineering Co., Ltd., China Construction Third Bureau First Engineering Co., Ltd., and Wuhan Outley Technology Industrial Co., Ltd. The 4-party cooperation agreement is aimed at jointly promoting the high-quality implementation of the 440 MWh distributed smart energy storage virtual power plant (VPP) management platform and VPP technology development and application projects. According to the agreement, JinkoSolar will supply its SunGiga Jinko Dolphin commercial and industrial (C&I) energy storage systems (ESS) for the VPP project.

The companies said that they will leverage their respective advantages in resource development, project construction, equipment procurement, technology research and development, innovation and management to create benchmark projects and jointly promote the expansion of renewable energy.

JinkoSolar announced yesterday that its Tiger Neo series received has UL61730 certification for 2000 V photovoltaic modules (see China Solar PV News Snippets).

Sungrow launches 2000V high-voltage PV ESS: Solar PV inverter manufacturer Sungrow has launched a 2000V high-voltage photovoltaic (PV) energy storage system. According to Sungrow, compared to the 1500V system, the newly released 2000V PV system can save RMB 0.04 /W in CapEx, RMB 0.125/W in OpEx, improve system efficiency by 0.5% to 1%, and reduce the total lifecycle investment by RMB 16.5 billion ($2.29 billion) per 100 GW. Including the ESS, the company claims that it can save RMB 0.045 /W in CapEx, 0.075 /W in OpEx, improve system efficiency by 0.4% to 0.7%, and reduce the total lifecycle investment by RMB 12 billion ($1.67 billion) per 100 GWh.

Last month, Sungrow announced its intention to jointly invest RMB 1 billion ($138.9 million) to establish a New Energy Multi-Strategy Industry Fund with 3 other companies (see China Solar PV News Snippets).

LONGi and CGN sign strategic cooperation agreement: The solar manufacturing giant LONGi has signed a group-level strategic cooperation agreement with China General Nuclear Power Corporation (CGN). It is said to be the only PV company to sign a strategic cooperation agreement with CGN. Through this agreement, the 2 companies will focus on various areas like renewable energy resource development, equipment procurement, technological innovation, hydrogen, green electricity and green certificates, industrial finance etc. The companies said they will work together to create opportunities for common development.

Hunan Huamin and Estone sign deal related to high-purity quartz sand: Hunan Huamin has signed an agreement with Estone to jointly explore the application of synthetic high-purity quartz sand in the PV industry and enhance the core competitiveness of both parties’ products. A provider of advanced inorganic non-metallic composite materials and application solutions, Estone says it has formed a number of core technologies such as Low-α high-purity quartz preparation technology and crystal growth control technology.

Mubang Hi-Tech plans 16 GW n-type monocrystalline silicon ingot fab: Former educational toys manufacturer Mubang Hi-Tech has announced its plans to invest RMB 4 billion in an n-type high-efficiency monocrystalline silicon ingot fab. The facility is located in the Xinzhou Economic Development Zone, Shanxi Province. With a construction period of 24 months, the facility, when complete, is expected to produce 16 GW of n-type monocrystalline silicon ingots annually.

SolarProsumerAward for APsystems: Solar microinverter manufacturer APsystems has announced that it was awarded the “SolarProsumerAward” by EUPD Research at the Solar Solutions Amsterdam 2024. The company says it has been consecutively awarded the “Top Brand PV Inverters ” in important PV markets such as Europe and Latin America by EUPD for 4 years. It said that the award reflects its product strength and proves its influence in the European market, including the Netherlands.
