Hanersun Photovoltaic Storage Base receives 1st batch of production equipment: Solar module manufacturer Hanersun has announced that it has received the 1st batch of production equipment for its high-efficiency PV and energy storage integrated manufacturing base in Jingxian County, Anhui Province. Having started construction in August 2023, the manufacturing base is being built in 2 phases. Once complete, the base will have an annual capacity of 2 GW for cells, 5 GW for modules, and 1 GWh for energy storage assembly lines.

In November 2023, Hanersun launched its new Hitouch5A high-efficiency module series based on All Back Contact (ABC) cell technology (see China Solar PV News Snippets).

Low LCOE and CapEx with Trina Solar Vertex N 700W+ series modules: Vertically integrated solar manufacturer Trina Solar has announced that its Vertex N 700W+ series modules have shown significantly lower LCOE and CapEx compared to 182N reference modules, based on assessments in Brazil and Germany by UL Solutions. The modules demonstrated 2.2% lower LCOE and 1.9% lower CapEx in Germany, and 1.8% lower LCOE and 1.6% lower CapEx in Brazil, indicating higher energy yields and superior competitiveness globally. The modules, based on 210 mm n-type i-TOPCon technology, deliver a maximum efficiency of 23.2% and 720 W of maximum power.

In April, Trina reported that its FY2023 module shipments reached 65 GW (see China Solar PV News Snippets).

Trina Solar will also be taking part in the TaiyangNews Virtual Conference on Distributed Solar, to be held on May 28-29. For free registration, click here: https://us06web.zoom.us/webinar/register/4617150737402/WN_Gl-ShdlIRFulLrwUpeD5CA#/registration

Tongwei’s Nantong fab rolls out 1st module: Integrated solar PV manufacturer from China, Tongwei Solar, announced that its Nantong Base M1 Workshop has produced its first module. The module is superimposed with Tongwei’s high-efficiency TNC technology and 210 large rectangular silicon wafers, and will exhibit higher power output, higher bifacial gain, lower power attenuation, better temperature coefficient, thus giving the customers higher product value.

DAH Solar on BloombergNEF’s Tier 1 list for Q2 2024: PV module developer and manufacturer DAH Solar has been included in BloombergNEF’s Tier 1 List for Q2 2024. The listing recognizes DAH Solar’s consistent quality, strong bankability, and global reliability. The company says that this highlights its reputation and credibility in the photovoltaic industry. DAH Solar, a promoter of frameless PV modules, says that its modules have been installed at more than 10,000 power stations in the past 3 years. DAH Solar’s Sea Huang will be speaking on the topic: Solving Dust & Water Stain Problem With Innovative Full-Screen Modules at the TaiyangNews is hosting a Virtual Conference on Distributed Solar.
