JP-Solar to build 10 GW HJT cell facility in Leshan: New energy company, JP-Solar, said via WeChat that the company, investment holding group Shenwan Hongyuan Group, private equity fund management company Chengdu Peikun Shenghua Venture Capital Partnership, investment company Leshan Xinde Investment, Leshan Municipal People’s Government, and Leshan Management Committee have come together to sign a 10 GW high-efficiency heterojunction cell project in Leshan. This is considered a significant development and will go a long way in helping Leshnan build its photovoltaic industry, it said.

Solar Potential Energy’s Anhui facility begins construction: Electrical machinery and equipment manufacturing company Solar Potential Energy said via WeChat that its 10.8 GW heterojunction cell and module facility in Helu Industrial New City, Anhui has begun construction. With an investment of RMB 7.5 billion ($1.05 billion), the facility is being built in two phases:

  • The first phase has an investment of RMB 2.5 billion ($0.25 billion), and will see a 3.6 GW heterojunction cells and modules facility being built.
  • The second phase will have an investment of RMB 5 billion ($0.7 billion), and will see the construction of a 7.2 GW heterojunction cell and module facility.

The facility will have four advanced technologies, including double-sided silver-clad copper, double-sided microcrystalline, 110μm thin wafers, and 0BB, which are considered to be quite advanced in the market. Once the facility is completed, the annual output value is expected to be about RMB 16.5 billion ($2.31 billion).

Haitai Solar to invest in 10 GW TOPCon facility: Green energy company Haiti Solar announced that it plans of invest in a 10 GW TOPCon facility and for that it will be getting into an agreement with Yancheng Economic and Technological Development Zone. The total investment is expected to be RMB 5 billion and the facility will be built in three phases. In the first phase, a 5 GW TOPCon facility will be built.
