Trina delivers 800 MW modules to CMEC for Abu Dhabi power plant: Chinese solar module manufacturer Trina Solar announced that it has successfully delivered 800 MW of 210 mm Vertex modules to China Machinery Engineering Corporation (CMEC) for the prestigious Al Dhafra PV Power Plant project. Located in Abu Dhabi, the 2 GW Al Dhafra solar PV plant, which was connected to grid in April has the capacity to generate enough electricity to power approximately 160,000 homes.

Tongwei Pengshan facility produces first solar cell: Integrated solar PV manufacturer from China Tongwei said via WeChat that its high-efficiency crystalline silicon cell facility in Pengshan, which is currently in the first phase, has produced its first solar cell. This is considered to be a significant milestone for the company as far as deepening its green development initiatives is concerned.

JinkoSolar wins Huadian 1 GW procurement bid: Over WeChat, module supplier JinkoSolar announced that it has won Huadian Corporation’s second batch of centralized procurement of photovoltaic modules in 2023. With this, Jinko will supply about 933 MW of Tiger Neo modules.

All three PV producers mentioned above recently presented at the recently concluded TaiyangNews SNEC/Intersolar Review Conference. Trina Solar’s Rocky Li had spoken about the company’s Vertex N-iTOPCon Module Series (see Trina Solar: Vertex N-iTOPCon Module Series); Tongwei Solar’s Overseas Technical Service Director for PV Business Division, Jack Xu had presented the company’s latest n-type module products (see Jack Xu, TW Solar: The Latest n-type Module Products); and JinkoSolar’s Leo Cong had spoken about the dimension of standardization calling it the best choice for next-generation module products (see Leo Cong, JinkoSolar: The Dimension Standardization)
