Huasun and Delinhai sign strategic cooperation deal: Heterojunction (HJT) solar panel manufacturer Huasun Energy and Delinhai signed a strategic cooperation framework agreement in Xuancheng. According to the agreement, Delinhai will invest in the construction of a 2 GW HJT module fab, and will purchase at least 1.5 GW of HJT solar cells from Huasun once the facility becomes operational. In addition, Delinhai also plans to purchase about 3 GW of HJT modules from Huasun over the next 3 years, and use its own cross-border e-commerce channels to strengthen the brand marketing of Huasun HJT modules in overseas C-end markets.
Trina Solar starts construction on PV cell and module facility: Vertically integrated solar PV manufacturer Trina Solar announced that it has started construction on its 10 GW high-efficiency PV cell and 10 GW high-power module plant in the Dongtai Economic and Technological Development Zone. A key part of Trina Solar’s deployment of a high-end production base in Yancheng, the facility will consist of 16 cell production lines and 10 module production lines. It is expected to contribute RMB 20 billion ($2.74 billion) in revenue once all the lines are up and running. Recently, Trina Solar started commercial production at its 210 mm wafer facility in Vietnam (see Trina Starts Production Of Silicon Wafers In Vietnam).
LONGi’s latest silicon wafer price: Vertically integrated solar PV company LONGi has updated the price for its P-type M10 150μm thickness (182/247mm) monocrystalline silicon wafers. After being stagnant for 2 months at RMB 2.93 ($0.40)/pc since June, the price of the wafer has gone up more than by 15.36% to RMB 3.38 ($0.46)/pc. The TaiyangNews Price Index published last week saw solar wafer prices increase WoW (see TaiyangNews PV Price Index – CW34).
Shuangliang Eco-Energy releases H1 2023 results: Solar PV production equipment manufacturer Shuangliang Eco-Energy reported that its operating income increased 182.29% YoY to RMB 12.128 billion ($1.66 billion) for the 1st half of 2023. Its net profit increased 74.89% YoY to RMB 618 million ($84.73 million). The company claims a market share for its new energy products of above 65%. Shuangliang also said that its equipment was in full production during the period, and that it has delivered its reduction furnace systems to high-quality customers such as Tongwei, Lihao, Runyang, and Baofeng. The company’s wholly owned subsidiary, Shuangliang Silicon Materials (Baotou) Co., Ltd., realized an operating income of RMB 8,630,685,500 ($1.18 billion), an increase of 317.5% YoY.
