China National Nuclear Power Co. Ltd. (CNNE) has issued a tender to procure up to 3 GW of solar PV modules to be installed by the company along with China Nuclear Shandong Energy and their affiliated institutions. It is the first centralized procurement drive for PV modules by the company in 2020.
As per the news carried by PVmen portal, the projects for which the 3 GW module capacity is to be used would comprise both self-invested construction projects as well as planned acquisitions.
Under the tender, package 1 would shortlist one eligible supplier for 300 MW capacity, and packages 2 and 3 will determine the three winning suppliers each for 2.4 GW and 300 MW capacity, respectively. Last date for interested companies to respond to the tender is before December 31, 2020.
