India’s Central Electronics Limited (CEL) is soliciting proposals for the supply of 3 million multicrystalline solar cells, to be procured as 1.5 million of 4.68W and another 1.5 million as 4.63W power output each, under 2 separate tenders.
Specifications for cells under both the tenders is the same with 156.75mm x 156.75mm dimension and 200±20 microns, 5 bus bar, and all the cells need to conform to IEC 61215/IS 14286, IEC 61730 and IEC 62804 standards. These should have been tested in TUV or any other accredited lab. These need to have uniform silicon nitride anti-reflection coating.
While for 4.68W cells the power conversion efficiency sought is 19.0%, for those with 4.63W output the efficiency should be 18.8%.
One of the eligibility conditions to apply for these tenders is for interested vendors to have a minimum 30 MW annual production capacity of multicrystalline cells.
