Enphase Finds Replacement For Paul Nahi

• Enphase Energy has appointed Badri Kothandaraman as its new President & CEO
• He had recently joined Enphase as its Chief Operating Officer
• Previously, Kothandaraman worked with Cypress Semiconductor for a period of 21 years
• He replaces former CEO Paul Nahi who announced to step down during the last earnings call

A month after its President and CEO Paul Nahi announced to stepped down during the Q2 call with immediate effect, US PV micro-inverter maker Enphase Energy has found a replacement internally. It has appointed the company's Chief Operating Officer (COO) Badri Kothandaraman as its new President and CEO. He will also be a member of the company's Board of Directors.

After leading the company for a decade, Nahi resigned from Enphase on  August 8, 2017. The company was scouting for talent to replace him, both internally and externally. The decision was to be made by August 31, 2017. Meanwhile, the board had created a CEO office that included Kothandaraman and CFO Bert Garcia.

Kothandaraman had joined Enphase in April 2017. Previously, he worked with Cypress Semiconductor for 21 years. An engineer from Indian Institute of Technology, Madras and a post graduate in materials science from U.C. Berkley, Kothandaraman holds eight US patents.

"Following a thorough review of candidates, the Board determined Badri's ability to connect people, vision and ideas to drive strategy and execution make him an ideal fit for his new role at Enphase," said Lead Independent Director of Enphase Energy's Board of Directors, Steve Gomo. Adding, " We are confident he will help to lead Enphase through its next growth phase and reach its full potential in a rapidly changing solar industry."
