Taaleri Energia raises $44 million for wind and solar: Nordic investment and asset manager Taaleri Energia has raised $44 million financing to invest in 20 to 30 wind and solar development projects across the Nordics and Baltics, Poland, South East Europe, Iberia and Texas. Financing has been provided by an unidentified European infrastructure debt specialist, 2 Finnish family offices and the company itself. All the projects are at early, mid and late stage development.

1 GW solar panel fab in Bulgaria: According to local media platforms in Bulgaria, Bulgarian Energy Minister Alexander Nikolov at a media briefing said in 2022 the country can hope to have a local solar panel production fab. It is planned to be built in Trakia Industrial Zone in Plovdiv for over €150 million investment. He said the project is envisioned to have a minimum of 1 GW annual capacity that will be expanded as soon as possible.

Encavis & Solgrid partner for solar in Sweden: Germany's Encavis has entered an investment agreement with Norway's Solgrid AS to develop a subsidy free portfolio of over 100 MW solar PV projects in Sweden, 'an underrated solar location in Europe'. Among the planned facilities, the 1st one with around 5 MW power generation capacity is already grid connected in Varberg. Remaining 5 projects with a capacity of over 100 MW are at various stages of development, getting nearer ready-to-build (RTB) status. The duo plan to deploy ultramodern bifacial solar modules on fixed sub-structures or single axis trackers. Power generated is planned to be sold to 'reputable offtakers' through long term power purchase agreements (PPA).

Both the partners also revealed their plans to establish a joint venture (JV) with Solgrid having 10% stake to realize an additional pipeline of solar projects. Under its business model, the JV will acquire RTB projects, secure project financing, construction and O&M services, along with origination and structuring of long term PPAs in Sweden and Norway.

FRV enters Polish renewables market: Fotowatio Renewable Ventures (FRV) has signed a collaboration agreement with Tundra Advisory to enter the renewable energy market of Poland where it will develop large scale solar energy projects over the next few years. Tundra Advisory is the Polish subsidiary of Spain's Taiga Mistral. This step is part of FRV's strategy to expand in Europe.

Naturgy Renovables purchases solar projects from Ence: Global consulting and engineering firm Enertis Applus+ said it advised Ence on selling 5 solar PV projects in Andalusia, Spain to Naturgy Renovables. The projects make up a total portfolio of 373 MW and vary within project ranges of 10 MW and 133 MW. All the facilities are in the development phase.
