France’s CARBON Brings Nicolas Chandellier On Board

• CARBON has appointed Nicolas Chandellier as the new general manager of the company 
• He will develop an executive team to ensure timely and successful completion of the company's ambitious projects 
• Chandellier will use his experience to help develop the company's Fos-sur-Mer Gigafactory in France 

French solar PV manufacturing startup CARBON has announced a new leadership hire, Nicolas Chandellier as the company's general manager. He moves from medical technology company Becton Dickinson (BD) where till recently he worked as the worldwide vice president and general manager for prefillable syringes. 

At CARBON, Chandellier is expected to leverage his experience in complex international industrial projects, especially focusing on the development of the manufacturing startup's Fos-sur-Mer Gigafactory where CARBON is building a 5 GW solar cell and 3.5 GW module fab. 

Chandellier's immediate priority will be to develop the executive team to ensure timely and successful completion of the company's ambitious projects, the company stated. He joined the company on January 2, 2024.  

"His international experience and comprehensive vision are instrumental to our ambitious project of establishing Europe's largest integrated gigafactory for cells and photovoltaic panels in Fos-sur-Mer," said President and co-founder of CARBON, Pierre-Emmanuel Martin.  

He added, "Nicolas's extensive industrial acumen and proven business leadership skills are invaluable additions to our existing teams, bolstering our capability to execute our projects with efficiency and precision." 

CARBON also plans to expand further across Europe with several gigafactories to produce 30 GW of wafers, 20 GW cells and 15 GW PV modules (see France To Host Integrated Solar Gigafactory).
