RECOM Technologies Launches Bifacial Heterojunction Solar Module With 23.2% Efficiency

French solar PV products manufacturer RECOM Technologies has added a bifacial heterojunction (HJT) monocrystalline double glass module to its Lion Heterojunction Series with up to 720 W power output. It offers up to 23.2% module efficiency, according to the company.

RECOM says its Lion 720 W module has a low temperature coefficient of power at -0.24%/°C and offers more than 91.25% performance output after being in the field for over 30 years.

The French manufacturer claims the modules are resilient against common solar challenges like potential-induced degradation (PID) and light-induced degradation (LID). It is providing a 30-year product warranty on the modules that come with ISO 9001 and 14001 certifications.

The Lion series, it adds, is fully certified to IEC61215 and 61730 standards, and is also certified to withstand extreme wind testing, snow loads and fire safety class.

The management stated, “RECOM supports fast and reliable deliveries ensuring product availability at European warehouses.”

The new module launch follows RECOM’s 390 W bifacial HJT module under the Lion series in October 2022 with an efficiency reaching up to 22.5% (see Recom’s New Launch Is A Heterojunction Solar Module).

Along with solar modules, RECOM also produces solar cells, inverters, hybrid storage systems, batteries and electric vehicle chargers. Along with HJT, its PV portfolio spans other cell technologies like TOPCon, half-cut, shingled and back contact.
