  • FTC Solar and AUI Partners have announced a partnership to target US distributed generation market
  • FTC will provide its proprietary Voyager+2P tracker with SunPath software platform while AUI will provide site design and construction services
  • They aim to explore opportunities in this segment, by bringing down delivery time for small scale facilities of under 20 MW

US based solar tracker supplier FTC Solar has partnered with solar contracting company AUI Partners to provide solar tracking services for sites under 20 MW capacity, with an eye to utilize its proprietary Voyager+2P tracker for distributed generation segment.

Launched in September 2021, FTC says its Voyager+ 2P tracker offers high energy yields vis-à-vis fixed tilt systems along with higher reliability in harsh weather conditions including wind speeds of up to 120mph. It combines this offering with SunPath software solution.

AUI will bring its site design and construction services to the table under this partnership.

The duo say their collaboration will ensure faster delivery and installation time for smaller projects, while leveraging an innovative sourcing strategy and inventory capabilities with the goal of providing delivery lead times of 8 weeks, based on project specifications.

Target segments for this cooperation are commercial and industrial (C&I), community solar programs, independent power producer (IPP) projects and smaller one-off projects for sectors as agriculture in the US market.

“By ensuring materials are readily available for these projects, DG Solutions will deliver faster than many other providers in the market, which can require more than six months,” said FTC Solar CEO Sean Hunkler who sees tremendous potential for this market over the next few years.
