KMF issues tender for 100 MW solar power plant on group captive mode; NTPC has signed a MoU with Morocco's Masen and also a JV agreement with IndianOil to help it with 650 MW renewable RTC supply; Arka Energy brings its solar products to India under SunEdison collaboration.

KMF tender for 100 MW solar power plant: The Karnataka Cooperative Milk Producers Federation Limited (KMF) has launched a tender for a 100 MW solar power plant to be set up on group captive mode for the federation and its members milk unions. Broad scope of work requires design, finance, installation, commissioning, synchronization with operation and maintenance (O&M) for a period of 25 years. Launched on July 14, 2022, the last date to submit bids is August 16, 2022. Tender details are available on State Government of Karnataka's e-procurement website with Tender Reference Number KMF/2022-23/OW/WORK_INDENT1630.

NTPC enters MoU with Masen: Indian state-owned electricity utility NTPC Ltd has entered a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Moroccan Agency for Sustainable Energy (Masen) to cooperate in the renewable energy sector. Through this cooperation, they plan to support services for capacity building share experience, know-how and expertise in the areas of mutual interest especially in research and development (R&D) spheres. The duo may also explore common development opportunities for utility scale renewable energy projects in other African nations.

JV for NTPC & IndianOil: NTPC has also signed an agreement to form a joint venture company with IndianOil to help latter's refineries meet their power requirement from renewable energy. IndianOil targets 650 MW round-the-clock (RTC) renewable energy supply for its refineries by December 2024 through the JV. A wholly owned subsidiary of NTPC, NTPC Green Energy Limited (NGEL) which is also an umbrella company for consolidating NTPC's total renewable energy businesses, will form the JV company for supply of RE-RTC power to the refiner.

Arka & SunEdison: US based start-up Arka Energy has launched its solar roof and gazebo collections in India under its partnership with SunEdison. Both the PowerRoof and PowerGazebo collections from Arka are suited for roof and open spaces like gardens in homes. A company statement reported by the Press Trust of India (PTI) stated that SunEdison has completed the 1st customer project in a luxury villa society in Bengaluru's Sarjapur.
