CubicPV Announces David Gustafson Appointment As President Of New US Wafer Facility

  • CubicPV has appointed a new President for its upcoming solar wafer fab in the US
  • The 10 GW planned factory is to be led by David Gustafson who comes with extensive experience in manufacturing across industries
  • He will be in charge of planning, design, ramp-up and operation of the CubicPV fab

For its planned solar wafer manufacturing facility in the US with 10 GW annual production capacity, solar technology company CubicPV has announced the appointment of David Gustafson as its president.

While the company is still in the process of selecting a suitable location for the factory and has zeroed down on 2 locations to make the final cut, it has appointed Gustafson to lead its planning, design, ramp-up and operation since May 2023.

Having served in the Navy Civil Engineer Corprs as a Company Commander for Navy Mobile Construction Battalion 74, Gustafson comes to CubicPV with an extensive manufacturing leadership and engineering experience. Till recently, he was the vice president, commercial Manufacturing at Bridgestone.

“We conducted an exhaustive search for the right candidate to help us construct, ramp, and operate the factory with precision and speed,” said CubicPV CEO Frank van Mierlo. “Dave’s wealth of experience in manufacturing and construction is a tremendous asset to Cubic, and we are delighted to add him to the team.”
