Indian utility National Thermal Power Corporation (NTPC) has launched another tender for battery energy storage system (BESS) on Andaman & Nicobar Islands. This one is for a 3.2 MWh BESS for 8 MW PV project in Chidiyatapu.
NTPC is reportedly planning to develop 50 MW PV capacity with battery storage in the union territory (see Solar+Storage For Andaman & Nicobar Islands).
Earlier this week, NTPC floated a tender for a 6 MW BESS to be combined with 17 MW PV in South Andaman (see Battery Storage Tender From NTPC).
Another BESS tender for 28 MWh has been launched by NLC India Limited for two projects of 10 MW capacity each.
The winning bidder will need to provide a full EPC job – from design, engineering, supply, packaging and forwarding, transportation, unloading, storage, installation, testing, commissioning, and grid integration of the 3.2 MWH BESS with the 8 MW PV plant. Comprehensive O&M for 25 years is also part of the task.
Documents of the tender can be purchased until June 9, 2017 and will be accepted until July 7, 2017. More details are available on NTPC's tender website.
