Tongwei increased operating income by 44% in 2021; S.C New Energy operating income for 2021 was at RMB 5 billion

Tongwei’s operating income at RMB 63.4 billion: Releasing its 2021 annual report, China’s integrated PV product supplier Tongwei said that it achieved an operating income of RMB 63.4 billion ($9.59 billion), a year-on-year increase of 43.64%. During the reporting period, the company’s high-purity crystalline silicon sales volume was 107,700 tons, an increase of 24.30% over the previous year. The company’s cells and module sales reached 34.93 GW, a year-on-year increase of 57.61%, and the gross profit margin of monocrystalline cells was 8.28%, a decrease from the same period.

S.C New Energy releases 2021 annual report: New energy equipment manufacturer S.C New Energy released its 2021 annual report. During the reporting period, the company’s operating income was RMB 5 billion ($0.76 billion), a year-on-year increase of 24.80%, and the company had invested RMB 237.8 million in research and development, an increase of 24.38% over the same period last year. The company said it continued to increase its R&D innovation and also took advanced steps to protect intellectual property rights. By the end of 2021, the group had obtained 428 patents, including 45 invention patents, 360 utility model patents and 23 design patents.
